Our Story

This site runs on our own web server affectionately known as Wally. Wally got his name in 2005 when he was purchased for $200 from Walmart.com. He came with I think it was Lindows or Linspire or something like that which was removed and Debian put in in place. Wally ran pretty trouble free until about May 2007 when the CPU or motherboard fried. Seemed like a good time to build him better and stronger into SuperWally!

Originally he ran www.boehmracing.com which was originally the Mon
keyboy online which started out as a home page on Prolog in 1996, then onto Voicenet. When I got into racing in 1999 it became boehmracing.com. Wally also hosted sites for friends and family but now he just runs this site and boehmracing.com. Not much happens on boehmracing anymore though. Maybe if I get back into racing some day

He now has a new motherboard , CPU, RAM, and 2 new hard drives.  He runs Debian Etch with Apache2, PHP4, mysql, CUPS, VSFTP, SAMBA, and SSH. Wally is our Webserver, printserver for our laptops, and fileserver. He also has a Happauge WinTV GO PCI card which in conjunction with MEncoder, cron, and a shell script I wrote works nicely as a VCR. Love watching our shows wirelessly on the laptop out on the patio when the weather is nice. A future project is to get VLC working with the WinTV card so we can watch live tv.

Lately most work on Wally has been towards getting www.kristiandkerry.com to our liking
